Is Apple pay safe?

Apple Pay is a mobile wallet for Apple devices such as iPhones and Apple Watches that allows you to make purchases in stores, in apps, and online securely without handing over your credit card information every time.

In a store, the mobile wallet uses near-field communication technology – it allows two devices placed within a few centimeters of each other to exchange data – to transmit your card information. You just need to verify your identity with the Touch ID or Face ID feature, then tap your device to the store's card reader to process the payment.

To keep your information private, Apple Pay creates a unique token every time you use it, so merchants never get your actual card number. "Instead of being static data that is easily cloned if stolen," says Andrew Barratt, managing principal at Coalfire, a cybersecurity advisory firm, "it adds some dynamic elements to the data that are used when processing your card payment, making cloning for fraudulent use more difficult."

What's more, Apple doesn't store your card number on your device or its own servers.

C.E.S. 2021!

I found 2 of the best smart home gadgets in CES! First, there is a water-powered Bluetooth speaker that does not need to charge! this will be very handy. you put it on the shower and it will power it. Ampere make's it and it is 79$ that is a pretty good deal because it should last a very long time. Also, this was released not in CES but is still new it is the Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra this has basically almost had a better camera than an iPhone it has 5 cameras and for the most part it is better than the iPhone 12.

Wyze watch

Wyze recently released the Wyze watch I was kind of mad when everywhere I looked it was unavailable so it took me a long time to make this article. It has a bunch of features that I really was excited about such as oxygen levels. I just ordered it so it did not come yet. I will be making a review when it comes so stay tuned.

setting up an Alexa on a PC?

Today I will be setting up an Alexa on a windows 10. I had to find a website that could set it up and I found one I do not know if it is fake but I think it is real since it is alexa's official website. I tested this out on the Echo Flex I will have a review on that soon, first it said to look if there is a orange light coming from it  and there was so then I connected it to the wifi this is were it messed up, It wanted to connect to my router and the echo's wifi at the same time so Windows can not bridge networks so it was very hard to work if I used a Android phone it would have worked so I would say you can not connect an alexa to a PC.

does alexa listen to you?

The Amazon Alexa (on left) and the Google nest mini both smart assistants but one of them is safer than the other. Alexa has 4 mics the nest mini has 5. Both have a mute button only one will work. And that is the nest mini it stops power from going into the mics so there is no way they can listen to you. Now back to Alexa when you press mute it does not actually mute it says it does but it does not actually mute so basically they are always listening to every word you say and the nest mini is cheaper

Google home VS Alexa

There are 2 brands that have a smart assistant's Google or Alexa they are two very different speakers the Google nest mini and the echo show 5. The echo show 5 has a touch screen unlike the nest mini as you see in the picture. The echo show 5 has a camera to take pics and video calls. the nest mini has a mute button so does the echo but it actually will always be listening to you and always be recording you. you can see the full safety article down below it also has a big price difference the nest mini is 19$ and the echo show 5 is 45$. press Read more

Google Nest Mini

The Google nest mini is a smart assistant with Google assistant it can control your smart home and play music and many other features but why get a google device instead of an Alexa that article will be coming out soon. It also has 5 mics so it can pick up your voice better. An article will come out soon that talks about safety features. But just a heads up it is one of the most "safe" smart assistants at only 19$ and that is really cheap. It also is a Bluetooth speaker so I mean what can go wrong

how hot can your thumb drive get?

Tom says his computer thumb drive is very hot. Should he be concerned? Leo says thumb drives can get pretty hot and the tolerances are designed to be that way, but most modern electronics are designed to stay under 100 degrees C. So if it's so hot that you can't touch it, then that can be cause for concern. It'll make the drive less reliable and over time, it'll wear out prematurely. But it's within normal limits for the drive to run warm or hot. Just not scalding. Especially when it's not doing anything. That's when Leo would throw it away.

What Leo advises copying the data off it and plan on a replacement, cause it's going to fail sooner or later.

Apple

Apple officially announced three new Macs containing their new in-house Apple Silicon processors. The new M1 processor promises high performance at low power. Apple announced three new models, two laptops, and one desktop. The models include a new 13" Mac Air, a new 13" Macbook Pro, and a new generation Mac Mini. But this doesn't mean that Apple has completely abandoned the Intel platform.

With Telsa in the lead, the electric vehicle market is growing around the world. Unlike conventional cars that use internal combustion engines, electric cars are solely powered by lithium-ion batteries, so the battery performance defines the car’s overall performance. However, slow charging times and weak power are still barriers to be overcome. In light of this, a POSTECH research team has recently developed a faster charging and longer-lasting battery material for electric cars.

The research teams of Professor Byoungwoo Kang and Dr. Minkyung Kim of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at POSTECH and Professor Won-Sub Yoon in the Department of Energy Science at Sungkyunkwan University have together proved for the first time that when charging and discharging Li-ion battery electrode materials, high power can be produced by significantly reducing the charging and discharging time without reducing the particle size. These research findings were published in the recent issue of Energy & Environmental Science, a leading international journal in the energy materials field.

For fast charging and discharging of Li-ion batteries, methods that reduce the particle size of electrode materials were used so far. However, reducing the particle size has the disadvantage of decreasing the volumetric energy density of the batteries.

To this, the research team confirmed that if an intermediate phase in the phase transition[1] is formed during the charging and discharging, high power can be generated without losing high energy density or reducing the particle size through rapid charging and discharging, enabling the development of long-lasting Li-ion batteries.

In the case of phase separating materials that undergo the process of creating and growing new phases while charging and discharging, two phases with different volumes exist within a single particle, resulting in many structural defects in the interface of the two phases. These defects inhibit the rapid growth of a new phase within the particle, hindering quick charging and discharging.

Using the synthesis method developed by the research team, one can induce an intermediate phase that acts as a structural buffer that can dramatically reduce the change in volume between the two phases in a particle.

In addition, it has been confirmed that this buffering intermediate phase can help create and grow a new phase within the particle, improving the speed of insertion and removal of lithium in the particle. This, in turn, proved that the intermediate phase formation can dramatically increase the charging and discharging speed of the cell by creating a homogenous electrochemical reaction in the electrode where numerous particles are composed of. As a result, the Li-ion battery electrodes synthesized by the research team charge up to 90% in six minutes and discharge 54% in 18 seconds, a promising sign for developing high-power Li-ion batteries.

“The conventional approach has always been a trade-off between its low energy density and the rapid charge and discharge speed due to the reduction in the particle size,” remarked Professor Byoungwoo Kang, the corresponding author of the paper. He elaborated, “This research has laid the foundation for developing Li-ion batteries that can achieve quick charging and discharging speed, high energy density, and prolonged performance.”

the best android phones

I have done my research and found that this is one of the best phones at least the best camera. The Motorola G8+ it has 3 camera's so it is like the iPhone 11 pro. It has one of the best cameras so that makes it a little better than just an average cheap android phone.

what is the difference between iphone 11 and 12

the iphone 12 offers 5G so you will rarely see the loading sign.also it has a A14 Bionic processor which is faster than the iphone 11. Apple also updated the camera so it has much better night mode there is also a new glass protecting shield around it so it looks totally different.
